26 Brewing Company Soon to be On Top in Pompano Beach

The Pelican, Pompano Beach – Greg Lieberman, 36, has already demonstrated his academic prowess. His civil engineering degree is from the University of Florida; he worked for a company that he loved and then, two years ago, he met Chris Brown (Co-Founder & Principal of Redevelopment Management Associates-RMA), co-chair of the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency, and the big dream of his life emerged. The dream began as a hobby. Four years ago, Lieberman started brewing beer in his garage; shortly after he discovered a community of craft brewers.

He says, “Every home brewer dreams of a brewery business.” In this city, there’s even a club for brewers, Hopaholics. They are part of a growing sensation that is trending throughout the nation, and Lieberman’s right there with them. This summer, his company, 26º Brewing Company, will open a 21,000 square-foot location featuring a 52-foot bar with 30 tap handles, and he proudly adds that “10 will be our own”, at 2600 E. Atlantic Blvd. in the former Bealls Outlet building.
