BaCA Celebrates First Year with Birthday/Earth Day Bash

BaCA, Bailey Contemporary Arts, a cultural facility located in Pompano Beach, Florida, celebrated their first birthday and “Earth Day” on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 with a fun-filled street festival featuring dance music sensation Spam Allstars, a dramatic presentation by international visual artist Bizard, and a moving anti-plastic photographic display by renowned artist Christin Paige Minnotte.

“Our one year birthday coincided with Earth Day celebrations, so we incorporated the two to create a party atmosphere that also educated everyone about protecting the environment,” said Alyona Ushe, President and CEO of Pompano Beach Arts and manager of BaCA.

The event provided guests with an opportunity to dance in the streets, participate in painting a huge mural, and to meet BaCA’s resident and visiting artists.

“The party exemplified all the elements that are making BaCA a cultural hub,” continued Ushe.  “The artists are embracing BaCA as a home that helps them expand their creativity, and the community is enjoying the many opportunities we provide to interact with leading musical performers and artists.”
