TAVARES – The city council has tapped a Pompano Beach company to be the commercial real estate broker for the future sale and redevelopment of the downtown Tavares Square property.
Redevelopment Management Associates specializes in revitalizing core areas of cities, its website states. The company is currently working with the cities of Margate, Dania Beach, Oakland Park, Pompano Beach and West Palm Beach on development projects.
Tavares Square, which is expected to be a minimum of $10 million in private investment, is envisioned as mixed-use plaza that will feature retail, residential, office, cultural, recreation and entertainment space, but also include public amenities.
The project is bounded by Main Street, Rockingham Avenue, Ruby Street and New Hampshire Avenue, within view of the waterfront and located diagonally from City Hall.
Caldwell Banker Commercial Crown Group of Mount Dora, and Colliers International of Central Florida in Orlando, also submitted proposals for the project.
